We’re a boutique architectural design practice passionate about creating homes that feel good to live in and are smartly built from the ground up.
Melissa is a Senior Architectural Designer, Licensed Building Practitioner and member of The Designers Institute of New Zealand with nearly 20 years of architectural experience spanning both domestic and international landscapes. After gaining a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (with distinction) her early career was shaped by working for an award-winning New Zealand architect, where she experienced a diverse range of projects and refined a deep understanding of enduring design. Since becoming licensed (LBP Design 2) over a decade ago, Melissa has built a dynamic career—working independently and alongside seasoned industry professionals—gaining further insight into the construction process from concept to completion. Passionate about crafting spaces that feel good and function beautifully, she upholds thoughtful design rooted in a strong awareness of place. Her work consistently exceeds minimum standards, favouring resilience and longevity, with homes that continue to perform as effectively today as when they were first built. Melissa believes architecture should enrich lives and stand the test of time.
Nathan has deep roots in farming, horticulture, and viticulture. He brings a grounded, practical understanding of land, function, and form to every architectural project. His hands-on background provides a unique lens through which he approaches design: buildings that respond to their environment, respect the landscape, and work as hard as the people who use them. As an architectural technician, Nathan’s goal is to deliver buildable solutions that bridge the gap between concept and construction. His passion lies in creating architecture that integrates seamlessly with the natural contour and character of the land - celebrating honest materials, efficient planning, and enduring craftsmanship. Nathan is currently studying architecture to expand on his almost decade of experience in construction design management. He is a student member of The Designers Institute of New Zealand, Architectural Designers New Zealand, and the New Zealand Institute of Architects.
